If you are like me, you use your mobile phone a lot to find information online – whether you need a store location or a phone number. Now, with AdWords latest feature we’ll see click-to-call ads on our smart phones. And I totally agree with Google that the “ability for prospective customers to easily call a business is a key distinguishing feature of searches made on mobile phones versus computers”: I really like being able to click on the number instead of punching it in.
Now, what do you do if you’d like to sign up for click-to-call ads? Here are two simple steps:
1. Set up location extensions and add your business phone number. Customers will be able to click to call your business location nearest to them.
2. Checthat you’ve chosen to show your ads on iPhones and other mobile devices with full Internet browsers in your campaign settings.
Also, note that the ads are served based on the user location so that the user gets the phone number for the location nearest to them. And – very important – ads will only appear on mobile devices with full Internet browsers.
