Many Google advertisers interested in placement-targeted ads use DoubleClick Ad Planner for placement research. In the past, we would then have to manually create a new campaign in AdWords and then dump the placements there. Often, this caused a lot of duplication and frustration because sometimes placements could not be found in the AdWords system easily.
Well, now I found out that there’s a much better way to do this. Apparently, you can export a media plan from DoubleClick as a new AdWords campaign. Here’s how:
Lastly, if you search for sites, but your desired site doesn’t appear, you can manually add the site to your media plan:
- Select the appropriate media plan from the top of the page, or select a list from the Lists tab.
- In the text box at the end of your media plan or list, enter the URL of your desired site.
- Click Add placements.
